These are also called pre-lubricated bearings because they are pre-lubricated with grease in oil pockets on the inner diameter when assembled.   *Boundary lubrication: Lubrication in a state where the oil film is so thin in the bearing area that the shaft and bearing surface are likely to come into direct contact.
