Horizontal Continuous Casting

 

One of the most sophisticated methods of casting copper alloys is continuous casting. This metal casting method is most effective when large quantities of standardized semi-finished products are to be produced. There are two types of horizontal and vertical continuous casting, and we will introduce horizontal continuous casting.

 


Horizontal Continuous Casting

 

This method allows greater control over the process through automation.A uniform semi-finished metal product can be obtained through continuous metal supply, crystallization, and removal of foreign matter. Crystallization speed can be adjusted by cooling with the flow and velocity of distilled water. Depending on the speed of horizontal continuous casting, solidification of the material (basically along the length of the casting) can be achieved, and dense bars and semi-finished products having delicate grain structures and metallurgical properties can be produced.
