What is SDX Bearing? (2)

이미지
What is SDX Bearing? (2) ✅ FAQ 1. What is the difference between SDX and dry-bearing SDU? SDU is a dry-bearing that can operate without lubrication and is resistant to most solvents and industrial fluids. On the other hand, SDX bearings are pre-lubricated by applying grease during assembly and are generally used in agricultural machinery, hydraulic machinery, and automobiles. 2. What is the plating material for the outer diameter? It is usually tin-plated with a thickness of about 0.002 mm, and copper plating is available upon request. 3. Is there any difference in performance depending on the POM colors? There is no difference in the performance and price from the standard product (yellow POM + tin plating). Other colors besides yellow POM can be made to order. SDX bearings with PEEK are recommended for high-temperature environments such as high-pressure gear pumps, water injection pumps, paint spraying, etc. 4. What material is recommended for the shaft? It can be used with all...

Types and Characteristics of Major Copper Alloys used for Oil-less Bearings

이미지
Types and Characteristics of  Major Copper Alloys used for Oil-less Bearings SGO mainly manufactures Oil-less bearings using high-strength brass but used different bronzes per application. We will introduce the most used bronzes with characteristics and their uses. ※ KS D 6024 We have only introduced five materials that have been asked a lot, and there are many other copper alloy materials. You need to choose the base metal and solid lubricant depending on the working load, speed, and other working conditions of the bearings. SGO has a one-stop process from material to finished product, so if you need advice on Oil-less bearing, please don't hesitate to contact us. INQUIRY

Rolling Bearing and Oilless Bearing

이미지
Rolling Bearing and Oilless Bearing What is the difference between oilless bearings and rolling bearings? This question is one of the most frequently asked questions by customers, and here is the table below showing the advantages and disadvantages of each bearing. ※ A-Excellent B-Average C-Below Average 1.  Rolling Bearings   ① Advantages   - Standardized goods, high compatibility, and cost-effective except for special products   - No performance degradation until around 100℃   - Good accommodate to thrust and radial loads   - Very low frictional resistance when starting   ② Disadvantages   - Large Inside and Outside diameter for narrow width   - Requires handle with care when fitting the inner and outer rings   - Weak to impact and noise occurrence depending on the precision   - Repeated stress on the raceway, and generally not allowed axial change 2.  Oilless Bearings       ① Advantages   - Easy to...

SGO THEDVELON Bearings

이미지
SGO THEDVELON Bearings SGO THEDVELON THEDVELON  is a type of oilless bearing that  offsets the disadvantages of the sintered metal bearings by applying a heat treatment on a steel-backed material. It can be used for medium to high loads by supplementing the insufficient mechanical rigidity through diffusion-bonding the sintered layer and the back-steel, and the porosity of the sintered layer can also be varied. While it has an excellent abrasion resistance, it is highly price competitive owing to lower material costs compared to the conventional brass bearings. Powder Metallurgy and Oilless Bearings

이미지
Powder Metallurgy and Oilless Bearings Process of Forming Pores in Sintered Material Powder metallurgy refers to a metal-forming process performed by heating compacted metal powders to just below their melting points, realizing physical properties that cannot be achieved through conventional metal forming technologies such as casting and forging. The biggest advantage of powder metallurgy is the ability to form a sponge-like porous structure by bonding the powder particles. Solid Lubricant - Eco-Friendly and Underwater Oilless bearings work by allowing lubricating oil impregnated in these pores to be released during the use. As shown in the figure above, the pressure and temperature between the bearing and the shaft rise when the bearing operates, and the lubricating oil impregnated in the pores begins to flow out to form a lubrication film. Once the operation stops, the lubricant is absorbed back into the pores, allowing the bearing to perform without lubrication for a long time...

What are the solid lubricants for underwater bearings?

이미지
What are the solid lubricants for underwater bearings? Underwater Oilless Bearings Underwater bearings are designed for long-term immersion in water, like offshore/marine, hydro power generation and dam gate applications. External lubrication is impractical, and prevention of water pollution and material color change due to corrosion are the most important factors, and solid lubricants containing Mos2, carbon, and general impregnation oils cannot be used for this purpose.  If grease is to be used, such grease has to be treated with waterproofing or must be hydrophobic, and the performance may deteriorate when in contact for a long time. Solid Lubricant - Eco-Friendly and Underwater For these reasons, PTFE or Teflon-based resin solid lubricants with corrosion and friction resistance are embedded in corrosion resistant bronze bearings for underwater use. The underwater bearings are designed to form a water lubricating film differentiated from the general dry friction. Polytetr...

What are Spherical Bearings?

이미지
What are Spherical Bearings? A spherical bearing is a bearing whose journal part has a sphere shape. In the case of oil-less bearings, the sliding surface is a sphere shape. Inner Ring (Left)  |  Outer Ring (Right) In the photo above,  the inner bearing has a sphere surface with solid lubricants inserted into brass and generally assembled with the outer ring that performs the role of housing. Depending on the bearing's use, the solid lubricants are applied to the outer ring or all inner and outer rings. Assembled spherical bearing Spherical bearings can withstand loads acting in multiple directions or absorb shocks and vibrations by enabling rotation of the shaft connected to the inner ring. Also, spherical bearings can damp shock, vibration, and friction by forming a stable surface pressure even under loads acting in the axial direction (thrust) and are used for buildings, marine, offshore, and hydropower plants.
